Mothers Present

On April 8th 1926 my dear mother was born in Djakarta / Indonesia. So… today we are celebrating her 91st birthday and wish her many more to come!

Still, as her offspring we had one mayor dilemma…What on earth can we give her to enjoy daily when she is already completely happy with everything that surrounds her?

After thinking about it, the answer was pretty simple. She always loved to spend her time in the garden, but.. due to her age she simply couldn’t keep living up to the necessary maintenance requirements and her beloved garden became a wilderness that even a professional gardener wouldn’t want to restore into it’s original beauty.


As a family we all decided to give her completely overhauled garden to enjoy and this shot was made during the finishing touch. Tomorrow we will reveal the 95% finished result during a traditional  Indonesian sate bbq.
