Morning Mist

Misty over the Cotswolds this morning but the view from the top of the hill looked down upon it all - wonderful, fresh, warm sunny morning. I will miss this view.

We were staying in Clapton-on-theHill, near to Bourton on the Water. The signs say 'village' but as there are only houses and farms, not even a shop or a pub, I think it's more of a hamlet. There is however a parish church called St James, Clapton on the Hill. I suggested that it would be funny if it was called St Eric, Clapton on the Hill - it was met with eye-rolling from some but total blank from youngest who claims never to have heard of Mr Clapton.....

Home again after a lovely week here. The extras are a bit of a cheat from yesterday evening from Lower Slaughter - a weirdly named but absolutely lovely picturesque village nearby to where we were staying. The evening light was lovely and I reckon was worth sharing it on blip.
