Troon, Ayrshire
The Head Gardener is finding walking painful at times, the diagnosis has not yet been clear, but he is waiting for a consultation with a specialist. Meanwhile, he is coping with painkillers but is reluctant to get too dependent on them.
Today we drove down to Troon on the Ayrshire coast, and I did a fairly long walk from the North Beach right along the coast past the yacht haven, and back to the town. Meanwhile the HG walked the beach and then sat in the little park beside the library and waited in the sunshine for me. Luckily he found quite a few people to have interesting conversations with, so the time passed quickly for him.
We went for coffee and cake before walking back along the beach to the car. He was pleased with the distance he had managed without pain.
The day was wonderful, the temperature was 18C and the sun was bright and shining. It was busy on the sands, with lots of families having picnics. My collage shows the coast further along from the sands on a rocky part, looking back towards the town. And the little pictures were just things I saw on my walk, the pied wagtail was very active.
Hope you all had a pleasant day.
