Chocolate, Bubbly and Gin & Tonics
I went along to the Chocolate Festival in Ramsbottom today with Jude. I was in a dilemma about what to wear because it was a gloriously sunny day and although we've had some lovely days lately such a warmth was a bit of a surprise.
Everyone was making the most of the weather and the streets were packed. We met up with Mary and Kay and had a drink and then a cheeky first ice cream of the year! Stallholders were carefully keeping their wares out of the sunshine and tempting though they looked, I didn't succumb.
I recognised a familiar face amidst the crowd, Chrissie was mooching around with her camera, it was lovely to bump into her.
On the way back to the car I spotted four dinosaurs dancing around a Maypole (extra)......why,? I don't know.
I dropped the car off at home and then walked round to Ellen's as the coven were meeting. We had all put our bets on the Grand National and after a couple of glasses of pink fizz we were ready to cheer on our horses....to no avail. Definitely Red definitely didn't win Thunder And Roses had a fleeting flirt with the front runners as did Vieux Lion Rouge....but that was a near as I got. Oh well, we had fun shouting at the screen.
I was walking home when Jude drove by and shouted the magic words...G&T???....well I turned round and went to hers for a drink in the garden. Then I walked home and just made my ten thousand steps.
