Sculptor's Cave

A beautiful day for a walk so we decided to try & find this cave, not the easiest to get to. We ended up scrambling down the cliff face with loose stones scattering below, walked along boulders & slippy seaweed & eventually found it - and it was worth the effort!  Thankfully we found a way back up nearby so didn't have to scramble all the way back along the shore.
Extra 1 is looking out from another huge cave, 2 is S sitting under the sandstone rockface, 3 is the detail of the layers of rock - an excellent day :)

The cave was used long ago for parents to bring their children who had died (of natural causes I think), to mourn.  They displayed the heads on sticks at the entrance of the cave.
