Steamboat dinner

That's been on our plate tonight. We've 'fusioned' the festive Singapore dish, a communal meal for example eaten as the traditional 'reunion dinner ' with the whole extended family on the eve of Lunar New Year, it consists of preparing choice pieces of meat, seafood and vegetables in a boiling pot of fragrant soup at the table, served with rice and soy sauce, hot tomato/chilli sauce and springonion and coriander with some more Western choices, like small sausages and a parsley mayo & garlic sauce. The prepared food is taken out of the soup with individual small sieves (see extra) and the resulting soup is eaten at the end of the meal.
