Stretching

I sneaked up to Madera Canyon for a bit and captured this handsome Broad-billed hummingbird.  He seems to be wondering what's going on around him.  Either that or he's doing a few calisthenics before taking off for more exercise.

I picked mom up this afternoon and brought her to my place.  We had a really nice time together talking and watching a few of our favorite British mysteries on PBS. I even fixed us fish sandwiches for dinner.  I was surprised she didn't want to go home after only a short time but she stayed for five hours.  It was good to get her out of the house for the day and to spend some quality time with her.
