Col des Écandies from.....

..... the Val d'Arpette. 13 km and 1,300m of ascent - remind me not to do it again! It looks like the perfect day to go to the Col on the skyline and we had set off at 08:15, but it took over 4 hours to get there in the enervating sun. My younger friends took it in their stride and I nearly gave up! Now we have to go out for a Thai dinner to replace some energy! I hope you all had a good weekend.

P.S. The extra shows the view onto the Trient Glacier from the Col. The weird lump on the front of my tummy is the othovox "person detector" in case you are buried in an avalanche!
