Pheasant

After a very slow, lazy start involving breakfast and Broadchurch catch-up (Can't believe how good a straight actor Lenny Henry is as an obsessive stalker/potential serial rapist character!) we got ready and headed out for a drive to Whisby nature reserve.

It has been a lovely warm summery day, perfect for a walk around the lakes, taking photos and admiring the scenery. There were butterflies, gulls, tufted ducks,  swans, geese and garden-type birds. 

there was also this pheasant! This is the first time I have been able to get close enough to one to get a shot before it flew away! I really like the patterns and colours of their plumage.

After a good long walk, we had lunch at KFC and paid a visit to Brian's Mum before coming home. Time to chill and do some hobby stuff now!

Jeri has been in Brighton today, running the second of her five marathons in a row! All has gone well, I'm happy to say! On to Boston next week!
