Rainy Melbourne

This is a rather ominous skyline. It made me think of Batman and downtown Gotham, but really, it's just Melbourne on a rainy Sunday night -as seen from the Youth Hostel roof terrace.

I don't think the backpacker Youf at the Hostel were very impressed at the arrival of 6 excited cousins onto the terrace, as they packed up their jumbo bottles of cheap beer and 3 litre wine boxes pretty quickly, and left!

We were in Melbourne with my sister's family to see the last show of "Lord of the Flies" before it heads back to UK. It was a dance show originally created to encourage boys to watch and participate in dance. I believe that it has been very successfull. The regional workshops associated with the production must have reached heaps of boys who would not otherwise have experienced moving their body in ways that is so counter cultural. Both my boys danced, but stopped when the social pressure got too much in the playground.... sadly.
