Versus Rodin exhibition

Adelaide Art Gallery is exhibiting some marvelous Rodin sculptures along with other more recent figurative pieces.  This lovely one of a dancer resting took my eye.  I was unable to photograph Rodin's work well enough to do them justice but we were very moved by them.   Most people remember him for his iconic sculpture of "The Thinker". 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of his passing.  He by all accounts was a man ahead of his time and suffered many rejections of his strong, evocative and emotional pieces in his time.
