Good Bye

This morning we completed the anchor handling job for the Ayang II. After the last anchor was deployed, we went alongside to bring back the positioning equipment. I took this picture there, not during shift change, but at normal working hours. Personnel shortage seems to be no issue in Korea. On the other hand; this is to be expected when you put 380 crew members on a relative small barge like the Ayang II.
At 10:30 we left the Ayang II and are heading towards Pointe Noire now. My suitcase is packed and ready. I will be signing off this afternoon. Tonight and tomorrow I will stay in a hotel in Pointe Noire and fly tomorrow night to Paris via Brazzaville. From there to Amsterdam and then finally home. I will stay home for eight weeks and board the Retriever again in the Gulf of Mexico. See you there.
