Curlews

Well what a revelation! I had commissioned a plate by Alison Kinnaird when I moved house as I knew I would be missing the spring and summer cries of the curlews in Mauldslie.
It is a blue plate, with a light behind which brings me great pleasure.
BUT when I tried to photograph it, I was v disappointed, it did not bring out the beauty of it.
Today's mono challenge of corner seemed worth trying on the curlews and to my delight they came out well, even showing the ones flying off in the distance. So thank you for this challenge which has taught me a useful lesson
