Red Poinsettia??????

I picked up my camera today for the first time since my return home.  I went out to do more than just water everything.......  I had spied the poinsettia earlier and shook my head.  I had cut it back during January for new growth.  But this poor plant is really out of sink with the weather.  The yellow leaves are because we had very little rain while I was gone until a recent, strong storm came through during the middle of last week.  
   But the red?  We are in the low, to mid, to upper 80's.  I thought this plant needed cold to turn red.   Guess I was wrong!
