Lowther Castle.

Paul and me were blessed with warmth and sunshine when we visited for the first time, the newly open to the public, Lowther Castle.
It is a tremendously impressive shell of the former castle, but much maintenance is ongoing there to restore the architecture.
The garden and woodland is magnificent and the paths well defined.
