Amaryllis

It has sat on our kitchen windowsill for years now, flowering every so often.  Never sure if I actually like it .... a lot of 'leaf days' and relatively few flower days.  Still, it is exciting when a new bud appears, quickly shooting up and expanding into four glorious flowers.

Yet another beautiful Spring day here, fresher than last week but glorious and sunny nonetheless. Garden, allotment, potting on seedlings and some larger plants, fitted in between shopping and cooking tea.  I even managed to take my book out to the summerhouse ..... where I dozed off for a while :-)
