Pirate Battle

We went over to the Marshwalk for lunch this afternoon and while there witnessed this epic pirate sea battle for control of the lucrative rum punch trade.

What apparently happens is that a guy dressed as a pirate goes out into the 'shipping lanes' of the inlet and waves around a flag and sword defiantly as Dead Dog Saloon's Pirate Boat approaches.

The crew on board the vessel is then tasked with knocking ole grey beard off his dingy using water cannons while a crowd at the end of the walkway watches the proceedings.

It took two passes by, but the old guy being vastly outgunned was indeed dispatched into the unforgiving waters of the inlet while the evil crew of the pirate boat cheers their victory.

Hey, what can I say? It's the inlet. :-)   

Also, looks like it could be next week until the goats arrive. I had thought it would be earlier this year but reports now indicate that next Mon. or Tue. could be goat day.
