The canal walk . . .

. . . another beautiful blue skied day and very warm! First thing we dropped P at Chester for a train journey back Home for a party tomorrow, then a short journey up the road for a walk along the Llangollen canal from the Horseshoe falls to Llan.

After an ice cream and a very confusing conversation with the horse drawn ferry man (confusing to both parties!) we decided that later in the week we’d do the 45 minute trip that includes the terrifying  Pontcysylite Aqueduct?!?

The dogs had a quick swim and we ended up in the Chain bridge over looking the river for a swift drink before heading back.

Sausage in red wine for tea which I’m slighting embarrassed to admit was the first meal at the table!
