Castlerigg Stone Circle

I've been here many times and really love it. We'll never know why they built it, but flipping heck what an amazing achievement. Read more here and here. 

There is definitely something about the place, I heard one large loud woman remarking that her mobile phone did not work inside the circle but started working as soon as she came out of it. Molly was also a little spooked which is far more telling. I don't believe in much but I do think those ancient people were onto something. Stone Circles, Lay lines.....

Although the weather was pretty rubbish we did manage to get a few people free shots.

Then to the pub, we went to the Horse and Farrier at Threkeld. What an excellent pub. Highly recommended.

After that we managed to trick the children into a short walk. We needed a drink after that ;)
