Narcissistic Wasp?

A black and white Ichneumon wasp, possibly an Lymeon, a native of New Zealand.  Since it does not have an ovipositor I guess it's a male. I measured it as 12mm from head to tail.

I found him basking in the sunshine on my kitchen faucet.  That's blue sky and a streak of cloud reflected, along with the wasp, in the chrome.  It was a lovely warm day, with the temperature going slightly above 20ºC.  The nor'wester still blows, very gusty at times.
