Ewe

You can't tell from this photo but this ewe is not well. I came across it this morning while I was walking. Another ewe and its lamb were keeping this one company but they left as I approached. This sheep however stayed, sitting on the ground, so I knew something was wrong with it. I think it is sick, it doesn't have the strength to stand. This is the second sick or injured ewe I have come across in the last week. The first one hurt itself badly on a fence. Again another ewe and its lamb were keeping it company. I felt pretty helpless both times because I don't know what to do. All I can do is phone the farmer and let him deal with it.

I replaced the original photo with this one, similar but I prefer this. Sorry to anyone who has already commented.
