Hunker down

and stay safe has been the constant message from Civil Defence for the past 24hrs or so as we wait for Cyclone Cook to make landfall in the next hour or two.  Will it be our worst storm for 50years?   This time tomorrow we will have an idea but in the meantime kia kaha. to kiwi friends and blippers.  A quick stop at the Lakefront on my way home from the dentist this afternoon.  The lawns opposite were starting to flood, but the lone Pukeko was quite happy as were the geese a bit further along.
