We got back to East Lothian yesterday and headed out today to remind ourselves why this is home - with a bracing walk down at Seacliff.

Now that the house is nicely warmed up again, it feels like we've never been away (providing you ignore the big pile of hold alls stuffed with dirty clothes - being ignored by all until Monday).

It's been a mixed trip away: with illness, stroppy children and warm weather intervening to threaten our snowy idyll. More of that when I tear myself away from catching up with all your journals and get those backblips done.

And now, back to enjoy some more of your Christmas/New Year stories and settle into that warm comfy blip feeling.
