Note to Self
I'd earmarked this morning to do my Breeding Bird Survey. I've got quite a few surveys to fit in so I don't want them all to pile up. The forecast looked so-so, but it was actually quite pleasant. It was a 6:30 start. The 1k square I have to transect twice has a real mixture of habitats - housing, farmland and woodland. Once I got into the woodland, it was noticeable that since my last reccy visit, many of the Spring woodland flowers had really started to flower - Celandine, Violets, Wood anemone and even Bluebells. I must go back again soon with a view to getting some photos of them.
