Tanked

This was the final phase of fixing the water supply. Leaking tank? Better drain it and fix the problem. Trouble was it rained every day and filled the damn thing up again.

Other trouble was, while getting D to climb into the tank to effect repairs took only minimal encouragement, it looked for a while that I wasn't going to get him out again. It was hot as hell outside and hotter still in the tank. With sweat running off him in rivers I couldn't hold onto him to lift him out, and the poor stumpy fellow had nothing to stand on. It didn't help that we were pissing ourselves laughing too.

Then we found the hole in the top was too small to put something through for him to stand on.

I suggested waiting until it rained again so he could just float out...
