Dash

Up very early to Skype to UK on fellowship shortlist then worked on them further the rest of the morning before off to National Gallery (extras) for another meeting. Very interesting conversation and gorgeous space....loved the place, the design and a lot of the art. We had lunch on the terrace directly overlooking the national mall.
Afterwards we had some chance for sightseeing -here at Jefferson memorial- before a brief run round shops and managed to buy a couple of plates from Crate and Barrel to match my others. No luck with adding to my collection of champagne saucers though :(
Drove home via Georgetown - really lovely higgledy piggledy little buildings and so unlike most other American architecture (extra)
Decided to go classic for dinner and opted for the local burger place-delicious!
We were whacked by the end of that!
