THE STRANDED SEAL

The weather looked not good in the morning, but Piet Hein and I cycled to the sea and walked northwards along the shore.
At some point we saw several persons watching something and that appeared to be a seal. There are big stones where a dam is and it seemed a strange point where the seal had stranded.
One of the onlookers was busy phoning the animal rescue. Taking photos too. It seemed as if the seal was in trouble, moving awkwardly, was there a wound at her/his back?
After quite a long time we became very cold and walked on. To our big surprised we did not see the seal anymore when we had returned. The persons all were gone too. But no signs of a track of the rescue car.
When Piet Hein saw one of the onlookers looking a bit further at the sea, he walked towards her and asked what had happened.
Obviously the seal had been tired (?) and after a while had swam back in the sea.
The afternoon was a quiet one, I had a nap, did see part of a movie.
