Montmajour countryside

Montmajour Abbey stands on a hillside. It was once an island amidst the surrounding marshes.
It became a medieval landmark evoked in the movie "The Lion in Winter" with Peter O'Toole. Later, Vincent Van Gogh painted the surrounding into one of his most famous masterpieces in Arles.
