Bothwell Scarecrow

This week is the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival and there are hundreds of these guys all over the town. They must be doing their job because there's not a pesky, beaky seed eater in sight. it's a comminity event with the focus of the Festival on individuals, families, businesses and community groups making and displaying a whole variety of scarecrows for everyone to see. There are concerts, open days, dances and a Scarecrow Parade'. It really is a great way to get a community involved and the proceeds go to a very worthwhile charity, The Yorkhill childrens Foundation.
