New Year's Bridge Reservoir

A new walk (for me) today starting at New Year's Bridge Reservoir, crossing Broadhead Noddle (sic) via Low Gate Lane then walking around the two Castleshaw Reservoirs before recrossing the Noddle.

This shot shows my starting point, next to Dowry Reservoir and, in the top right of the picture, the Ram's Head where I took after walk refreshments.  It was there that today's cause of irritation was found: a family whose 2 or 3 year old child was perfectly well-behaved but whose parents only wanted to communicate with her in shouts - whether of the "DO YOU WANT HAM?"  variety or admonishing her for minor, undetected by me (sitting just eight feet away) infractions of some mystery code - "DON'T DO THAT!"
