Hot Cross Buns

Made Hot Cross Buns this morning, made the old fashioned way with a cross cut in the top and sprinkled with sugar. I don't like the paste cross they put on the top in the shops. 
It wasn't my best effort, should have gone for a bit more spice, and I left them in the oven just a minute longer than necessary, but didn't want them stodgy in the middle. It is a long time since I had made them so could have been worse.  Made 21 and think there is 5 left so couldn't have been to bad.
Also made Ginger Shortbread and Raspberry buns. Family coming tomorrow.
