Blackberry Season.

Friday again!
It does seem to have come round fast.
Another lovely summers day!
Tried out a new recipe for "Blackberry and Apple Cake" (Good Food magazine September 2012.)
Turned out very well.( The cake is a bit like a Bakewell Tart recipe without the pasrty)
Has ground almonds in it, as well as the apple slices and blackberries, and then crunchy toasted hazelnuts on top. Very rich!
Had it as a dessert with cream. Will definitely make again!

Have got our car back today.
(Didn't mention we had it bumped two and a bit weeks ago.)
Now all shiny and clean and looks like new!
Surprising what a good polish and inside valeting can do!

The weather sounds good for the weekend, so hope you all enjoy it.
(Not sure how long it will last!!)
