We set out to go to the allotment but discovered that in addition to being rather cold it was actually raining, so body swerved up the Kirkgate and bought a selection of bird food in Poundland and a couple of special offers in Lidl - what a treat!

Got home to discover that an old friend had died last night, two years after his wife had died, also unexpectedly. Shit. Seems weird to be advising their offspring about what to do via FB's messenger service, but I suppose it has its uses, them being 300 miles away.

There was some colourful new graffiti in the Kirkgate.
