Day 106/17. A welcome new view. Rock on Tommy.

South Parade Pier in Southsea was built in 1879 and has had a mixed history ever since. Closed in April 2012 for safety reasons it only re-opened to the public last friday. So until then this view (taken today) would not have been possible.
But probably the pier is best known for being set on fire. Although the film was set in Brighton, most famously this pier 'accidentally' caught alight during the shooting of the Who's rock movie 'Tommy'.
