Escargot Anyone?

Spent this Easter Morn at Sweetwater Wetlands. Boat-tailed Grackles have become very adept at hunting for apple snails under the water lily leaves. They're a lot of fun to watch! In the *extras*...a small 'gator attempting to hide in plain sight. He was lying very still, covered by a carpet of tiny floating water plants. Looked down from the boardwalk and spotted not one but six banded water snakes in the reeds, just out of the water. One had a rather large bulge in it's body...must have just eaten a big frog or something! Wishing all who celebrate... a Very Happy Easter!
