A Problem

Opposite the Conference Centre stands the Midland Hotel.  An impressive building of the type only the Victorians could imagine and build.  Opened in 1903 it is now a grade 11 listed building.

As we stood outside the conference chatting we spotted this "tower" and its scaffolding.   That left us discussing just how the scaffolders had managed the construction as it is the equivalent of 8 or 9 stories up!

However they managed it they have been skillful, determined and brave.
