A sorry sight

Making Stinky Bay on Benbecula live up to its name today was this Sperm Whale. Sadly very dead, at around fifteen metres, it was an impressive beast even in death.
Headed south to Barra today for our week. Bit of a nightmare getting into the house we were staying in and were just about to give up at 8:30 pm and called into the nearest hotel where the barmaid knew the daughter of the owner etc etc in the best Hebridean tradition and so within half an hour we were safely ensconced.
