Today's the day ........................... to blow away

This is the last stage of the mountain avens (Dryas octopetala)before it disappears.

Each one of those wispy feathers has a seed attached and when the wind blows hard - they will fly away, hopefully to somewhere where the conditions will be right for a new plant to grow ...................
