I'm not normally a fan of food pictures. But I've made an exception.

Warkworth castle today, brilliant place. Kids loved it, Nell was beside herself with excitement and o think explored every corner, fireplace, sluice, battlement and arrow window.

Then Bertram's for lunch, the other cafés were a bit stuffy, but this place welcomed muddy dogs and hairy boots. Great cakes and I had a ploughman's with blue darling, a local blue cheese. Om nom.

Beach after to run off some energy.
