Four Candles

Another glorious day dawned.  BB and TT headed off to church and I went for a run in the sunshine.  Late morning we continued our journey south to Newcastle to visit friends who moved there last year.  It was a challenge to find their street, and we had to circle a couple of times, but we found them eventually.  After a bit of a catch up, we headed out to find some lunch, walking over the Town Moor (complete with cows!) to the Wylam Brewery.  Unfortunately they were fully booked, but the manager couldn’t have been more helpful and said we would get a table if there was a  cancellation.  In the meantime we continued our catch up over a few drinks in the sunshine – perfect.  Eventually the manager came to look for us, we got a table and enjoyed a lovely late lunch.

We took a longer route back to their house and passed an amazing looking ironmongers – complete with a tribute to the Two Ronnies in the window.  True to form, even though we were all still full up from our late lunch, BB (who had also had a huge lunch) was soon complaining that he hadn’t had his tea!
