Road with a view

This is on the road from Achiltibuie to Ullapool. Not sure of the names of all the mountains but the pointy one is Stac Pollaidh (or Polly, if you're English).

Just back from a week on Tanera Mor, one of the Summer Isles off the west coast of Scotland, on a writers retreat led by Mandy Haggith. No internet access and so no blipping for a whole week. Will back blip over the next few days. Had a great time - didn't write a huge amount but laughed loads, ate well, read a couple of books and made some new friends (and got bitten by midges , but that goes without saying!)

Had forgotten how stunningly beautiful the west highlands of Scotland are. If you have never been then do yourself a favour and go - but take some jungle juice or Skin-So-Soft for the little biters.
