Trail through the woods

The Easter egg trail at Lytes Cary in Somerset leads children through the woods after walking through a huge field. B and her brother C were both able to read their own trail instructions this year - and follow the clues.
The woods also serve as a woodland play area. Here B is taking a break from the clues to practise balancing on the logs. They also had fun in the wooden "shelters" which have been built in the clearings.
Having collected their chocolate rabbit rewards from the National Trust shop, we came home for tea - and Simnel Cake!
