Standing Guard

Our school has resident oyster catchers, and this year 3 chicks were hatched - their nest is on the square of gravel thoughtfully installed on the roof by the jannies!

There was great excitement earlier in the week when the chicks hatched - now they are tottering about on the gravel (look close!) and dad is standing guard against the seagulls.
