The Old Forge (Friday 14th April 2017)
Friday morning is gardening morning, when R. comes over to manage the makeover. With the driveway path in place the next stage was to create the stone borders marking the pathway edges. Shown here is the front yard in front of the kitchen window, while the Extra shows the current stage of the pond and patio area of the forest garden. The cotinus is beginning to come into leaf.
The tin drum will be home to some trailing plants and has now been partially filled in readiness and the birdfeeder pole in place. There'll be a small folding table back there soon too.
We had some Indian fish and chips supplied by Foxglove & Ginger next door and it was mild enough to sit at the patio table with some drinks.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Bob Dylan - Mr Tambourine Man (recorded 1430-1730 hr, 15 January 1965, Studio A, Columbia Studios, New York NY)
R.I.P. Bruce Langhorne (11 May 1938, Tallahassee FL - 14 April 2017)
Bob Dylan (vocal, harmonica, acoustic guitar) with Bruce Langhorne (electric guitar)
Bruce Langhorne was the actual Mr Tambourine Man because he used to play a large Turkish frame drum, which he purchased in Greenwich Village. It had small bells attached inside the rim that gave it a jingle-jangle sound, much like a tambourine. He played on many of the best folk-influenced albums of the sixties including several Dylan albums.
