Skunk Cabbage
I spent the morning at Hare Hill (my National Trust volunteering site) running the stall for the Easter Egg Hunt. It was pretty hectic for most of the morning.
I finished at about 13:30 and went for a wander around with my camera, but there was virtually no wildlife around - I guess that all the people hunting for the Easter Eggs clues was enough to persuade the wildlife to go elsewhere. So my blip for today is a skunk cabbage - or lysichiton americanus to give it its proper name. The only places I ever see this plant in the UK is at National Trust properties - they must have got a good deal on a bulk purchase or something ;-)
