Welcome to the jungle!

Day off today so didn't bother setting the alarm. But as its Friday, I know the bin men will be reversing down the avenue at approx 7.30!...so as I was too tired to take the bin out last night, I'm awoken by the noise of the bin wagon, and Olympic style I leap out of bed, down the stairs, thru the chicane of the living room and kitchen, outside. Manoeuvre bin down to the end of the drive. Back in kitchen. Glass of orange juice. Kettle on. Back off up to bed for 5 mins!

Next event was the Olympic ticket purchase. This is where you have limited number of minutes, combined with multiple electronic media items, to logon and purchase tickets to the killers. 6 tickets successfully purchased by 9.13am, gets me a silver medal in that event!

What a morning already!!

Today is being badged as one of the hottest days of the year, which I didn't know when I booked it off, so it's a bonus! Spent most of the day clearing out weeds and plants from my garden. So neglected cos of 49, I'm basically trying to do 12 months worth of gardening in 3 days!

The sun was intense! Litres of water drunk in between pulling weeds.

Beaut lunch from at mums, who is busy preparing tea for Pete and kirsty later.

Skip arrives mid afternoon, and I half fill it already.

5 o clock and it's time for a well deserved bud!! Pic is of my bottle!

V tiring day, but a fab day ending with a curry and webcam chat with bro, Mand and prince, and li on the phone!

Off to bed now, busy busy tomorrow
