Music has charms to soothe a savage breast.......

.....but my friend, David, is one of the most civilised men of my acquaintance.   

We have a stand-in musical director for three weeks.   Her charms include the gift of being able beautifully to cajole all those men of a certain age - a category which accounts for 75% of the singers.    Anyway, we made great strides.
