A Boatload Of Bottles
The busiest days of the year are upon us here in our little beach resort community. The buses have been arriving for days as well as a surprisingly large number of private autos (I have even seen a couple of taxis from Mexico City - an eight hour drive away). The roads are full, the parking lots packed, and the beach overflowing. Across the way at Playa Las Gatas, there is no road so everything must be brought to and from by boat. This boat was filled to the brim with empty drinking water bottles, which will be taken across the bay, refilled and then brought back to the thirsty tourists who will soon be arriving (those chairs in the background will not be vacant for long).
