Owlet in Springfield

One of two great horned owl chicks in a park in Springfield. Its mate is on the left, behind the trunk (I think i see a bit of the bill and an eye). They're on the nest, high in a tall pine, with the parents in neighboring trees.  They'll be there perhaps another couple of weeks before they fledge--so stay tuned.
