Reminds Me of a Song

"The Railroad Runs Through the Middle of the House", recorded by Alma Cogan in the UK, and Vaughn Monroe in the US. A stupid, corny song -- like so many of the pop songs of the era.

We had a very enjoyable, relaxed day, beginning with breakfast at Crema (again), and a circuitous return to our apartment, savoring the sights, scents, and many artistic adornments of this area.

We took the bus downtown this afternoon to meet Kendall for ice cream and conversation at Salt and Straw -- both very enjoyable. We all went on a short blipwalk afterwards-- see Kendall and C's blips -- links not possible on my iPad!

The bus back to our temporary home stops right outside The Commons brewpub, so it was a logical place for dinner. Now it's time to pack for the return to Bellingham tomorrow. It's been a great trip -- we'll keep coming back!
